Small Steps To Wellness

Resources:

Welcome to your Wellness Hub - Free guides, recommendations and more!

I believe everyone deserves access to healthy, nourishing food as well as medical care when needed, and I’m fully aware that these things are quickly becoming a luxury in the United States of America.

I understand that a lot of the things I write about on this site cost money, time, energy and resources. It is never my intention to leave anyone or any group out, I always wish to be inclusive and empathetic to this  community we are building; regardless of race, gender, sexual orientation, disability or socioeconomic status.

Please look through the site and be inspired by any of these resources that apply to you and meet you where you are at, in this moment. And know that if your situation changes in the future, you can always come back and try the more aspirational ideas at that time. I truly wish you the best of success on your journey.

Free Resources to Support Your Journey

I want to make sure everyone has access to tools that support their health, happiness, and well-being—no matter their financial situation. Below is a curated list of free resources to help you on your journey.

Mindfulness & Mental Well-Being

I am a big believer in meditating daily. Making that time in the morning can set you up for a calmer, kinder day. You’ll find yourself more centered and in control, able to observe your circumstances without being reactionary.

  • Breathing Room Free Meditations – My go-to meditation resource! I love the 3-minute Serene Mind practice and the 10-minute Soul Sync practice.
  • FindTreatment.gov – A confidential, anonymous tool for finding mental health and substance use treatment.
  • 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline – Call, text, or chat 988 for 24/7 access to trained crisis counselors.
  • Veterans Crisis Line – Call 988, then press “1” for specialized veteran support.

Access to Healthy Food

  • Wholesome Wave – Doubles SNAP benefits at local farmers’ markets, making fresh produce more affordable for underserved communities.
  • Local Health Departments & Community Services – Many areas offer free or low-cost nutritional counseling and food assistance programs—check with your local resources.
